Now, all that\u2019s left to do is to wait.<\/p>\n

All the decisions have been made on first year applications and the decision letters will be released through the mail in 24 hours.\u00a0 For the first time in 180 days, there are no transcripts waiting to be evaluated, no essays waiting to be read and no applications waiting for a vote by the committee.\u00a0 The silence is eerie.<\/p>\n

Like bakers who arrive in the middle of night, for the past six weeks, we\u2019ve been doing all our work in private \u2013 very precise measuring, some skillful adding, delicate mixing, artful shaping and now, waiting.<\/p>\n

To those students who will receive disappointing news from us, know that we appreciate your interest in Holy Cross and that we take our decision making responsibility very seriously.\u00a0 It is the most important and the most difficult part of our job.<\/p>\n

To those students who will receive good news in the mail from us \u2013 congratulations.\u00a0 \u00a0You\u2019ve impressed us with your record as committed students, passionate volunteers, standout athletes and even better people.\u00a0 You\u2019ll be faced with a decision soon \u2013 we hope you\u2019ll come visit.\u00a0 We\u2019ll be waiting for you.<\/p>\n
