Student bodies adorned with \u201cHC\u201d on their shirts<\/p>\n

We’re a small enough school, so we know all the players<\/p>\n
(And Catholic, so cheering comes often with prayers)<\/p>\n
Our super-fan crowd puts opponents to shame<\/p>\n
As\u00a0we scream and chant loudly for each sport by name:<\/p>\n

“Go\u00a0Baseball<\/em>! Go Football!\u00a0Go Field Hockey, too!<\/em><\/p>\n Go Soccer! Go Tennis, Cross Country, and Crew!<\/p>\n Let the hockey games end in a bench clearing brawl!<\/p>\n Let our basketball team never give up the ball!<\/p>\n Let us fight till the end, never fail or fatigue<\/p>\n And prove who’s the best in the Patriot League.<\/p>\n It’s Cru-Sader Nation. It has been for years<\/p>\n With true adoration from pundits and peers<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Track program’s so fast, they make Fios seem slow<\/p>\n And the crew team will beat you six times in a…… \u201crow\u201d<\/p>\n Our baseballers do it with K’s and with ease<\/p>\n And the golfers get through it with their expert-tees.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Holy Cross! Whoa, lacrosse! Your strong rep is deserved<\/p>\n Played our volleyball team? Then I guess you got served!<\/p>\n The same goes for tennis, a team that we….. “love”<\/p>\n And cause quite a racket when speaking thereof<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Our skaters can keep up with any\u00a0Cannuck<\/p>\n Not since Robin\u00a0Goodfellow’ve\u00a0I seen better Puck!<\/p>\n Think you’re\u00a0besting\u00a0our divers? Pft, don’t hold your breath!<\/p>\n They oust podium spots like\u00a0they’re Lady Macbeth<\/p>\n Your swim team’s all wet, ours is running amok<\/p>\n Only\u00a0stroke that could beat em’s a stroke of dumb luck<\/p>\n Football here’s in the bag, other teams in the sack<\/p>\n Bet two bits that we’d win and got my\u00a0quarter-back<\/p>\n <\/p>\n And basketball? Please. Now don’t get me started<\/p>\n That’s a legend round here, our support is\u00a0whole-hearted<\/p>\n I remember a game, about this time of year<\/p>\n From centuries past……….as an undergrad here<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Hart was electric (acoustic, the band)<\/p>\n And just before things really got out of hand…<\/p>\n The clock, it expired. And with it, the din<\/p>\n The match-up had ended (of course with a win)<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The bleachers grew quiet, the stands stopped their shake<\/p>\n The students went home for their holiday break<\/p>\n But I heard them exclaim as they walked to their cah<\/p>\n \u201cCrusaders forever!\u201d and \u201cChu Chu Rah Rah!\u201d<\/p>\n \n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" (inspired by “A Visit from Saint Nicholas” by C.
