\"Drew\" In one of my earlier posts this year, I lauded the many benefits of Worcester, specifically tacos, tea and trails<\/a>.\u00a0 But, now that it\u2019s April and high school seniors are making finally their choices for college, it\u2019s time that I stepped up my game just a bit.\u00a0 While in my earlier post, it may have seemed as though I had a crush on Worcester, that is simply not true.\u00a0 I am here today to reveal myself, to proclaim my deepest feelings \u2013 this is no crush.\u00a0 This is true love.<\/p>\n

But enough about me.\u00a0 The real question is \u2013 why should YOU love Worcester?\u00a0 Answering that question is a challenge I gladly accept.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m sure everyone is very familiar with all the famous things that were invented here in Worcester \u2013 electricity, beauty, the automobile, nuclear weapons, monkeys and flowers.\u00a0 But one of our inventions that sometimes gets overlooked will most certainly have a serious impact on your college experience \u2013 pizza.\u00a0 But, Worcester does not rest on its laurels for simply inventing pizza \u2013 we continue to hone our craft.\u00a0 The world\u2019s best pizza makers are here in Worcester today.\u00a0 Let me highlight just a few:<\/p>\n

CORNER GRILLE<\/a>: thin crust, cut in squares, enough variety to keep you entertained for more than four years.\u00a0 WARNING: If you\u2019re afraid of improving the deliciousness of your life, do not eat their pizza.<\/p>\n

WONDER BAR: a Worcester landmark on its most famous street \u2013 Shrewsbury Street.\u00a0 They\u2019re too busy making their homemade sauce to make a website so you\u2019ll have to believe me when I say their pizza will inspire you.\u00a0 Don\u2019t believe me?\u00a0 Well, ask singer Martin Sexton who wrote the lyrics to one of the best albums<\/a> of the decade while sitting at their counter eating one of their pepperoni pies.<\/p>\n

PEPPERCORNS<\/a>: all you need to know about this place is what they themselves say on their website: \u201cWe believe we have created the best Neapolitan (thin crust) pizza on Earth.\u201d\u00a0 That may sound arrogant but it\u2019s not because they\u2019re right.\u00a0 They have created the best thin crust pizza on Earth.<\/p>\n

CIAO BELLA: they don\u2019t waste their time with silly things such as websites or credit cards.\u00a0 They spend every hour of every day focused on creating a circus in your mouth.\u00a0 So bring your cash and bring your flashlight so that when you take your first bite, you can open up and shine a spotlight on the greatest show on Earth.<\/p>\n

So come to Worcester for the tacos, the tea, the trails and the pizza and as a bonus, while you\u2019re here, we\u2019ll get you a liberal education that is second to none.<\/p>\n
