\nIn late January and February it didn’t seem so bad…there were other things going on to keep those thoughts on the back burner.\u00a0 But now, at the end of March, you can barely control yourself.\u00a0 The moment you get home, you run over and through anything in your way to get to the front door or the end of the driveway.\u00a0 Why?\u00a0 Well, I’m sure I don’t have to tell the people that are reading this…it’s to get the mail.<\/p>\n

And then…disappointment.\u00a0 No, there’s no bad news, there’s just no news.\u00a0 No envelope.\u00a0 No package.\u00a0 No confetti or balloons in a box.\u00a0 These are the days you’re upset that bills (which don’t have your name on them), US Weekly, a postcard from Aunt Minnie, Sports Illustrated, and a letter that promises you may have won $1,000,000 have arrived.<\/p>\n

And then the ritual is repeated the next day, and the next, and the next…and then the postal worker delivering your mail knows your name and a few days later you realize that’s probably a little odd, but it doesn’t really matter.\u00a0 You need to know.<\/p>\n

Well, the wait is almost over.\u00a0 Here in the office, we’re folding letters, sticking on labels, and stuffing envelopes.\u00a0 If you applied to Holy Cross, your decision letter will soon be on its way.\u00a0 Keep in mind that your decision will not be posted online somewhere, nor will I be texting you with a “congrats”.\u00a0 You’re going to have to run for the mail for a few more days, but the waiting game is almost over.\u00a0 I promise.\u00a0 In the meantime, don’t give yourself an anxiety attack…and make sure you thank that mail carrier.<\/p>\n
