{"id":1167,"date":"2019-04-30T13:44:27","date_gmt":"2019-04-30T17:44:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/me.business.holycross.edu\/?p=1167"},"modified":"2019-04-30T13:44:27","modified_gmt":"2019-04-30T17:44:27","slug":"finance-club-hosts-fourth-annual-mock-superday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.holycross.edu\/business\/2019\/04\/30\/finance-club-hosts-fourth-annual-mock-superday\/","title":{"rendered":"Holy Cross Hosts Fourth Annual Mock Superday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The fourth annual Mock Superday, coordinated by the Finance Club through the Ciocca Center for Business, Ethics, and Society with the Center for Career Development, was held on Monday, April 29, 2019 on campus.\u00a0 This event helps students prepare for the intensive interview process for internships and full-time jobs at Wall Street firms.\u00a0\u00a0<span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">The evening started with dinner, followed by an alumni panel.\u00a0 From there the group moved into speed interviews simulating a Wall Street Superday.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\n<p>&#8220;Myself, Andrew Smith &#8217;19 and the rest of the Finance Club Executive Board are thrilled with the success of the Mock Superday event this year. This is the fourth year the event has taken place, and we achieved the highest alumni participation to date.&#8221; said <span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">Jay Mackie &#8217;19, Co-Chair of the Finance Club. &#8220;<\/span>With this new level of engagement, we were able to expand the event beyond just the student\/alumni interviews to include an alumni panel open to the broader student body, and an intimate meeting with senior bankers to discuss initiatives the school is taking to increase placements in finance. The alumni were very impressed with the quality of the candidates they interviewed as well as the work that both the Finance Club and the Student Investment Fund have done to prepare students for the industry.\u00a0 The bar has been set very high for future Co-chairs and E-Board members! &#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The Holy Cross alumni network is what makes these events such powerful networking tools for current students. \u00a0&#8220;We hope events like the Mock Superday can help build a sustainable connection between the school&#8217;s best aspiring financiers and our fantastic alumni\u00a0network.
