{"id":1177,"date":"2019-05-23T10:41:26","date_gmt":"2019-05-23T14:41:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/me.business.holycross.edu\/?p=1177"},"modified":"2019-05-23T10:41:26","modified_gmt":"2019-05-23T14:41:26","slug":"holy-cross-certificate-graduates","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.holycross.edu\/business\/2019\/05\/23\/holy-cross-certificate-graduates\/","title":{"rendered":"Holy Cross Graduates 46 Business Certificate Program Recipients"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.holycross.edu\/business\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2019\/05\/ciocca11.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1187\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.holycross.edu\/business\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2019\/05\/ciocca11.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"612\" height=\"451\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Established in 2006 with limited offerings for students to explore business at Holy Cross,<span style=\"color: #3366ff\"> <a style=\"color: #3366ff\" href=\"https:\/\/news.holycross.edu\/blog\/2019\/04\/19\/ciocca-center-for-business-ethics-and-society-takes-business-programs-at-holy-cross-to-next-level\/\">the office was recently named the Ciocca Center for Business, Ethics, and Society<\/a><\/span>.\u00a0 Parents, students and alumni alike have found the Center&#8217;s experiential learning opportunities to be a valuable addition to the liberal arts education and student interest in these business certificate programs is booming. As of the spring 2019 semester, there are more than 470 students participating, and they come from all majors. Enrollment in the workshop about supply chain management doubled from 2017 to 2018, from 20 to more than 40 students. The workshop on business ethics and principled leadership had so many students enroll that Prof. David Chu, Director and Prebusiness Advisor,\u00a0 hopes to offer multiple sessions in the future.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith the center, we\u2019re going to be able to significantly expand opportunities to meet student demand. The purpose of the center is to provide students with multiple pathways to learn about business \u2014 pathways that can complement any major in the curriculum.
