\"Congratulations<\/a><\/p>\n

We\u2019ve just hit a big milestone for the minor in Business, Ethics & Society<\/em><\/a>\u00a0(BES)<\/span>, and unlike much else that\u2019s going on in the world, it\u2019s good news!\u00a0 So I\u2019m interrupting your summer to tell you about it.<\/span><\/p>\n

As you probably know, BES isn\u2019t a traditional business minor.\u00a0 While it certainly includes plenty of practical components, it\u2019s about much more than learning how to \u201cdo business\u201d or how to get a job in business.\u00a0 BES is about what it <\/span>means<\/span><\/i> to do business, and what it might look like to do it <\/span>well <\/span><\/i>— for each of us individuals, and for all of us together.\u00a0 To be able to develop your own ideas about that, you have to know things about business, and about society, and about doing well.\u00a0 What does it look like, and what does it take, for each of us and all of us to \u201cdo well\u201d?\u00a0 To flourish?\u00a0 And what can business contribute?\u00a0 It\u2019s a demanding course of study and a selective process, but I am delighted to announce that we have just admitted our first students.<\/span><\/p>\n
