Each workshop offered experimental and hands-on learning, supporting students to translate classroom knowledge into skills for the professional world.<br \/><br \/>Global Supply Chain Management with Site Visit to Polar Beverages<br \/><br \/>46 students participated in the Global Supply Chain Management workshop, which included a site visit to Polar Beverages. Led by alumni, the program offered insight into global supply in distributing goods and services. Students had the opportunity to meet with supply chain managers overseeing a range of products to better understand the political, cultural, and ethical challenges embedded in these processes. The hands-on site visit provided a unique opportunity to observe a working supply chain. A biology major shared that \u201cwithout much of a business background, I learned a lot with the various lectures and activities throughout the day.\u201d They go on to describe the supply chain simulation as a \u201c very engaging way to truly see how much communication and coordination goes into supply chain management.\u201d<br \/><br \/>Global Entrepreneurship &amp; Innovation on Campus<br \/><br \/>12 students participated in the Global Entrepreneurship &amp; Innovation on campus, designed to guide students to break down complex problems, transform ideas into actionable solutions, and develop business models to bring ideas to life. By the end of the two days, students were encouraged to present their ideas to the group. \u201cOne day, I would absolutely feel fulfilled by working on a project to get more people to use public transportation,\u201d shared one student when asked if they plan to continue working on their idea, closing with \u201cand I now know that an app could be created to help with all issues.\u201d Students described the workshop as \u201cextremely rewarding and beneficial\u201d as it furthered their skills in human-centered design through a series of interactive workshops and collaborative activities. <br \/><br \/>Finance Boot Camp in NYC<br \/><br \/>37 students explored finance on Wall Street with an overnight trip to NYC. After a prep session on campus, they attended a networking event and session at JP Morgan where they discussed wealth management, discussed current events and trends that shape the visions and courses of action within the company. At KeyBank, they were able to tour the trading floor and see first hand how traders use Bloomberg.
