{"id":15,"date":"2011-01-27T21:54:24","date_gmt":"2011-01-27T21:54:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/amurphy.me.holycross.edu\/?p=15"},"modified":"2011-01-27T21:54:24","modified_gmt":"2011-01-27T21:54:24","slug":"paid-advertising-internship-ny-ny","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.holycross.edu\/careerplanning\/2011\/01\/27\/paid-advertising-internship-ny-ny\/","title":{"rendered":"Paid Advertising Internship &#8211; NY, NY"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Allen Rosenshine Minority Education &amp; Training (MET) Fund<\/p>\n<p>This fund awards internships to minorities, women and individuals protected under the federal Americans with Disabilities Act to encourage the pursuit of careers in advertising.<\/p>\n<p>There have been over 200 MET Fund recipients since the program&#8217;s inception in 2000.\u00a0 At this time, we are accepting applications for internships for the summer of 2011.\u00a0 Interns receive a stipend in the amount of $4,000 for the 10-week internship.<\/p>\n<p>To apply, students must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be a first-year, sophomore or junior student<\/li>\n<li>Have a GPA of 3.00 or greater<\/li>\n<li>Be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States<\/li>\n<li>Complete <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aef.com\/pdf\/2008_bbdo_application.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">application form<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Submit two original signed letters of recommendation<\/li>\n<li>Submit a copy of most recent transcript<\/li>\n<li>Write a minimum 250-word essay explaining why you want to be in advertising<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Deadline: <strong>March 11, 2011.<\/strong> The recipients will be selected and contacted by the end of March.<\/p>\n<p>Completed applications and all required material should be mailed to:<\/p>\n<p>BBDO<br \/>\nAttn: Keith Marchisotto, Human Resources<br \/>\n1285 Avenue of the Americas<br \/>\nNew York, NY\u00a0 10019<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Allen Rosenshine Minority Education &amp; Training (MET) Fund This fund awards internships to minorities, women and individuals protected under the federal Americans with Disabilities Act to encourage the pursuit of careers in advertising.
