If you are unsure or think the non-profit sector could be for you, apply to the Non-Profit Careers Conference.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/holycross.edu\/engaged-learning\/donelan-office-community-based-learning\/community-based-learning-students\/non\">Non-Profit Careers Conference<\/a> is a week long program held at the end of winter break and is\u00a0designed for students considering a career in the non-profit sector.\u00a0 <strong>Applications are due at 11:59 PM on Sunday November 1.\u00a0<\/strong>Thoughtfully written and well organized application materials really stand out and will influence the selection process.<\/p>\n<p>A well organized one page resume is required. Never written a resume before? No problem!\u00a0 Visit the Center for Career Development to get started.\u00a0 Drop-In hours are Monday-Friday from 1-4 PM and Wednesday from 10 AM \u2013 12 PM.\u00a0 You can find the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.holycross.edu\/support-and-resources\/career-planning-center\/online-resources\">Resume Guide<\/a> on the Career Development website.\u00a0 If you already have a resume, stop by for a quick update.\u00a0 The Conference seeks to bring students together with diverse and interesting backgrounds.\u00a0 Be sure your resume highlights your most important experiences including academics, extra-curricular\/leadership involvement, service, athletics, work experience, and any other experiences that are significant.<\/p>\n<p>Use the essay to tell a story about yourself.\u00a0 Reflect on an experience, explaining why it was significant for you and why it motivated you to apply to the Conference.\u00a0 Sincerity is key.\u00a0 It is also important to explain what you hope to gain from the conference.
