1. In one sentence, what does your job entail? \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

I research potential investment products to bring to market, help drive business strategy and lead the exchange traded fund business.<\/p>\n

2. How did\u00a0you\u00a0learn\/decide it was a good fit for\u00a0you? <\/strong><\/p>\n

I always enjoyed following financial markets and started investing at a very early age. \u00a0After deciding law school and accountancy weren\u2019t for me, I came to the realization that my love for investing could become a career! \u00a0After 25 years in the industry, I wouldn\u2019t want to have it any other way!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

3. What were\u00a0you\u00a0involved in when\u00a0you\u00a0were on campus? \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Intramural sports of all types. I know it seems boring, but the teamwork and work ethic required in sports was a key formative activity that has helped me succeed in my career.<\/p>\n

4. What was your major and how did it affect your career decisions?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Political Science. \u00a0I enjoyed the study of government and thought law school was for me in my first few years. \u00a0I later realized my love of investments and business strategy was my calling. \u00a0 My major forced me to become a very good writer and speaker. \u00a0That helps in business.<\/p>\n

5. What are one or two skills that\u00a0you\u00a0developed at Holy Cross that\u00a0you\u00a0use in your work? \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Besides my writing and public speaking skills, the extremely strong work ethic that I developed while at Holy Cross has been a difference maker. \u00a0A great employee needs intelligence, plus drive.<\/p>\n

6. What advice do\u00a0you\u00a0have for students on campus today? \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n
