{"id":63,"date":"2024-02-18T15:06:41","date_gmt":"2024-02-18T15:06:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/vinniewilson.me.holycross.edu\/?p=36"},"modified":"2024-02-18T15:06:41","modified_gmt":"2024-02-18T15:06:41","slug":"first-week-back","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.holycross.edu\/vinniewilson\/2024\/02\/18\/first-week-back\/","title":{"rendered":"First Week Back"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Ciao a tutti<\/em> and welcome back!<\/p>\n<p>Today I want to recap my first week back in Florence, including two amazing and fun trips my classmates and I took over the past few days\u2014the first to Fiesole and the second to Venice!<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday, led by our amazing Florence Program Director, Lucia, we took a 25-minute bus ride to Fiesole, Italy. The weather was perfect and the view was just as great\u2014even if there was some smog\u2014and we could see all of Florence!<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_42\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-42\" style=\"width: 525px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-42 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.holycross.edu\/vinniewilson\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/57\/2024\/02\/tempImageT1L0QX-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"525\" height=\"394\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-42\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">View of Florence from Fiesole<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>While in Fiesole, we saw the San Francesco Convent and the Fiesole Cathedral before stopping for lunch at a small but popular restaurant called <em>Vivandro Vino e Desco Molle<\/em>. Lucia)\n\t\t\t\t<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n<p>Although our trip to Fiesole was definitely fun, my favorite trip so far has been to Venice!<\/p>\n<p>The day after Fiesole, we arrived in Venice around noon to unfortunately very foggy weather.
